For the Holocaust Embedded Assessment you will select one (1) poem that supports the theme, “Finding light in the darkness” and present the piece through a dramatic reading. The following will be requirements for the project:

1. Selected piece should be a minimum of 5 lines and maximum of 20 lines. If what you select has more than 20 lines, you will read aloud to the class the chorus or section(s) that support the theme.

2. Write a paragraph that explains the meaning of the theme, “Finding light in the darkness” and connect the meaning to the poem you’ve selected.

3. Present a dramatic reading during class using tone, pitch, and fluency to convey the emotions the piece represents.
