The American Association of School Librarians (AASL) is the only national professional membership organization focused on school librarians and the school library community. AASL has more than 7,000 members and serves school librarians in the United States, Canada, and around the world. AASL is a division of the ALA.
NYLA, established by Melvil Dewey in 1890, is the oldest state library association in the country and represents school, college, special and public libraries, library staff, trustees, and students from around the state.
CNYSLibs is a roundtable of NYLA (New York Library Association) and an affiliate of NYLA-SSL (Section for School Libraries). They plan events, professional development, and advocacy for school librarians.
