Welcome to Eagle Drive! SLS welcomed everyone to Eagle Drive. The Makerspace Room was introduced everyone and we discussed that teachers could bring their students over to work on class projects.
From the Library Community
Interlibrary Loan We discussed the importance of interlibrary loan as a way to extend library collections for our students and teachers. SLS encourages and thanks everyone for participating in it.
Music Library SLS reminded everyone about the print music collection at BOCES, how to search for specific titles, and how to request these titles to be delivered to the schools. SLS thanked SLMS for working with their music teachers so they can use these resources.

Access information for library media resources
Purchases (CCD, ebooks)- SLMS are encouraged to contact SLS if they wish to see a product trial or if they need pricing information for items not currently listed in the Library Resource Management system.
Orders for next year are due at the end of March. Items can still be added after March.

SLS discussed our Axis 360 ebooks and audiobooks
Kindles are available for classroom use. Contact SLS for to reserve them.
If teachers need specific titles, contact SLS to request the purchase of these items.
SLMS can order individual titles for your students.
SLS discussed the purpose of school visits (to work with SLMS to develop their programs and services) and how these can be arranged.
Using email to communicate with each other- distribution lists for Elementary and Middle/High SLMS
SLS discussed the movie and music licensing available through the BOCES for all schools.
The School Library Media Program Evaluation (SLMPE) is currently being updated and field tested.
SLS will cover the cost of 2019 NYLA-SSL memberships for interested SLMS.
