Announcements

• SCOOLS ILL- The last day to loan books is May 22. The last day for book returns is June 14. Please contact SLS if you have any concerns about getting books back that you loaned or getting books returned that you borrowed.
• Summer Reading- 
• OPALS-SchoolTool Integration- The library catalogs for Cato-Meridian Elementary, Middle, and High Schools were successfully integrated over the Spring Break. At the request of several school librarians, we will integrate their library catalogs later this Spring or over the Summer. The purpose of this integration is to automatically update patron records in the library catalogs. When new students move into the school or information about current students changes (e.g.: they move from one grade to another, etc.), the patron records will automatically be updated. Contact SLS if you would like your catalog to be integrated.
• Discovery Education and Google Single Sign-On- We are in the process of setting up the Google SSO with Discovery Education. This will allow teachers and students to log into Discovery Education using their school Google accounts. Discovery Education will still be available through Snap.
• New SLS Council President- Jenifer Westover was elected as the new SLS Council President.

• NYLA-SSL Annual Conference- "SLS Shifting Perspectives" (May 1 - June 1)
• NYLA-SSL Leadership Retreat- "The Re-Imagined IFC" (August 7 and 8)
• Council meetings and the tentative regional workshops for 2019-2020 were discussed.
